Pastoral Council
| PURPOSE |
To represent the people of the parish, to assist the pastor with ministerial development of the parish, and to accept responsibility as a consultative and collaborative body, with the pastor for the life and mission of the church. |
| MEMBERSHIP |
Elections are held in May. You may contact any member of the Pastoral Council before March to have your name put on the ballot. You must be a registered member of St. Ignatius and a catholic in good standing. |
| MEETING DAY |
Third Wednesday of each month from September to June. |
Ladies of St. Ignatius
| PURPOSE |
To provide fellowship and service to our parishioners and throughout Harford County |
| MEMBERSHIP |
Every lady 18 and older is most welcome to join; Membership currently numbers more than 50. |
| MEETING DAY/TIME |
Second Wednesday of each month at 7:30pm in the parish center |
| HIGHLIGHTS |
Church Receptions, Bingos, Pre-Lenten Dinners, Crab Feast, Lenten Soup Kitchen |
Holy Name Society
| PURPOSE |
St. Ignatius HNS is a branch of a world wide confraternity of the Church founded to publicly proclaim Jesus as our Lord & Savior. Basically we are a spiritual organization which supports the parish with lectors, choir members, Eucharistic ministers and other manpower. |
| MEETING DAY/TIME |
First Wednesday of every month; Second Sunday at 9am Mass |
| HIGHLIGHTS |
Malvern Retreat, Communion Breakfast, Shrimp Feast |
| OTHER |
We visit the sick and aged at home and in hospitals. We sponsor activities that help support our parish. |
Legion of Mary
| PURPOSE |
One of the largest apostolic lay organizations in the Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary has been in existence since 1931. Members meet weekly for prayer and discussion, and are assigned 2 hours of work to complete before the next meeting. Examples include visiting and praying with the ill and homebound, visiting new parishioners, and otherwise helping to meet the spiritual needs of the community. If you feel drawn to this ministry, please contact the parish office for information on how to become involved. |
St. Ignatius Council #9729 Knights of Columbus
| PURPOSE |
The Knights of Columbus is an international organization of Catholic men who promote fraternity, charity, and patriotism. |
| MEMBERSHIP |
Membership in the Knights of Columbus is reserved for men who are practicing Catholics, age 18 and older. Interested men should contact the Grand Knight or any member of the Council. |
| MEETING DAY/TIME |
First and third Tuesdays of each month at 8:00 p.m. in the Parish Center |
| HIGHLIGHTS / ANNUAL EVENTS |
Traditionally, the Knights sponsor several social events each year as fund raisers to support their charities. They also sponsor activities for the youth of the parish, including “Keep Christ in Christmas” and soccer and basketball competitions. |

Joining the Knights is a great way to become active in your parish and meet other Catholic men in a wholesome environment |
Manna for Mothers
| PURPOSE |
To meet with other moms and to grow in our faith |
| MEMBERSHIP |
All mothers |
| MEETING DAY/TIME: |
Meetings will be held on the Second and Fourth Friday of every Month at 9:30 to 11AM. Our first Meeting will be September 12th, 2008 |
| HIGHLIGHTS: |
Our name comes from the Manna that came down from heaven to feed Moses and the Israelites. Just as Manna is true food for the body, we mothers hope to feed each other in body, mind and spirit through Christian Fellowship |
